2:Warm-UpExercises
Westartedwithsimplewarm-upexerciseslikestretchingourarms,legs,andneck.Iusedwordslike“stretch”and“reach”todescribethemovements.Wealsodidsomejumpingjacksandsquats,whichthekidsloved!
3:ActionSongs
PlayingactionsongsisagreatwaytogetkidsmovingandlearningEnglishatthesametime.Wesangsongslike“Head,Shoulders,KneesandToes”,“IfYou’reHappyandYouKnowIt”,and“TheHokeyPokey”.Thechildrenhadsomuchfunsinginganddancingalong,andtheyquicklylearnedthelyricsandactions.
4:AnimalMovements
AnotherfunactivitywastohavechildrenmovelikedifferentanimalswhilepracticingEnglishvocabularyrelatedtoanimals.Wepretendedtobelions,tigers,monkeys,andbirds.ThisactivitynotonlyhelpedchildrenimprovetheirlisteningskillsbutalsotaughtthemnewwordsinEnglish.
Overall,theEnglishmorningexerciseshavebeenagreatadditiontoourdailyroutine,makingthechildrenmoreactiveandengagedwhilehelpingthemlearnEnglishinafunway.
